Today, Multiple engineers leaked that Facebook is going to update their mostly unpoplular iPhone application to utilize the iPhones hardware, instead of rendering everything in HTML5.  This will mainly impact the speed of the app and there are no indications that there will be a redesign.

Facebook has come under fire, since their IPO, from investors because of their inability to monitize their mobile apps on various platforms.  One could make the assumption that there will be a significant increase in the utilization of ad space on the newly designed app as well.

How does this impact you and your marketing and/or social media campaign?  It's too early to tell, but with an increase in speed and usability, there's bound to be a significant increase in users, so make sure your facebook page is getting the proper amount of attention and focus.
